So as I sit here ironing my clothes and drinking my coffee getting ready for work
all I can do these days is take a quick look at other folks new works and projects
as I simply don't have the time I once did this time a few months ago..
And I can't help but notice the price drop in commissions
it seems across the board we either see folks with the higher quality not being able to complete their work loads
while those who might not have the quality in their work are trying to charge below 20 bucks even seen 5 dollars
and I am not talking the sales pricing either, because once to twice a year it just builds good value and gather new clients to boot
But as I was dipping my toe into the commission water way back when, I was laboring over trying to find the sweet spot for the pricing
of my work, I would have been overcharging apparently...by a lot lol
Now I wonder are prices dictated due to demand and clients just not shelling out the cash, either it do to economic reasons, or simple comparative consumer options availability
or is it a case of artists not knowing their worth and fucking things up for everyone lol?
Honestly, what someone decides is their worth is a personal choice however the nature of the beast will bring prices down for everyone involved and can lead to some unfortunate outcomes in the long run
